In case you missed it, here’s the list of tweeps who took part in #sportsgeektrip.
After a long flight home to Melbourne from New York I’m back at my local cafe with a much needed coffee able to look back on a very successful #sportsgeektrip.
The primary goal of the trip was to watch, assess, study both sports fans as well as sports franchises and facilities. It was great to hear how fans feel about their teams efforts on the court & field and in the domain of Sports Geek the online world.
Thanks to all the great people I met in LA, Dallas & New York, 3 great sports cities.
Thanks to those who supported the trip via Twitter, Facebook & YouTube, it was very much appreciated.
So many ideas, so stay tuned…

I’m in Dallas now but I recorded this yesterday morning just a recap of the LA leg of #sportsgeektrip. It’s been great checking out different sports and facilities but also how teams promote themselves and their sponsors at games.

The #sportsgeektrip has started. I arrived in Los Angeles yesterday morning after a long flight from Melbourne.
One of the mottos of this trip was going to be “Anything is Possible!”, thanks to Kevin Garnett for not quite getting the Adidas slogan “Impossible is Nothing” quite right.
However, after a night out fighting off jet lag I found myself out a comedy club with some Texas Longhorn fans in town for the BCS Championship Game. What we didn’t know was that Rob Schnieder was on the bill trying out new material. He got some laughs but it was like Jerry Seinfeld in the documentary Comedian where comedians learn to throw away so many jokes “to find the funny”.
So now the #sportsgeektrip motto is “You can do it!”.
