Connecting sports, fans & sponsors using technology

Sports Geek Workshop

The Sports Geek workshop will assess of how you are currently connecting with your stakeholders, where stakeholder may be sponsors, supporters or fans.
The workshop will determine what your team can to achieve from an effective sports social media strategy.

Social Media Goals

  • To determine what social media components would be most effective for your team, your fans & your sponsors.
  • To demonstrate which tools & techniques can be used to monitor & manage your social media presence.
  • To identify projects to build your team’s digital profile with your fans.

Who should attend?

Anyone who deals with your stakeholders would value from participating in the workshop.  US sports teams succeeding in social media realise it’s a team game like sports, social media works best as a team effort.  Sports social media strategy succeeds when the driving force behind it is understood by everyone delivering it.

What do I want from Sports Geek Workshop?

At Sports Geek we want to connect sports, fans & sponsors with technology. The driver for a social media strategy will be determined by the focus on fans (or supporters) and sponsors (or corporate partners). It will deliver additional communication channels to both fans and sponsors. Once you’ve determined what you wish to achieve by implementing  a social media strategy, we can establish a strategy that is right for your team.

But I don’t understand Social Media?

That’s OK the Sports Geek Workshop is part training, part assessment and part strategy.

Why Sports Geek?

Sports Geek stays in front of the technology so you don’t have to.  We understand how the technology works and what are the best practices in sports.  On the Sports Geek Trip we discussed social media strategy with NBA, NBL & MLB clubs as well as leading social media players.  Sports Geek knows sports fans are a special type of customer, our expertise is understanding sports fans.

So what do I get?

By the end of the workshop we’ll have:

  • A brief of your social media requirements and
  • An understanding of tools & techniques to engage & monitor your social media presence and
  • Plans to deliver the strategy for you, your fans & your sponsors.
